The Narrative Around the ‘Eternals’ Reviews Is Doing More Harm than Good
This is something that has been on my mind for a long while coming, and I must admit, I was also not looking forward to be one to take part in Eternals discourse prior to seeing the movie. And I’ll admit, despite my usual stance on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, at the time, I was very excited to see what could come out from Eternals because I’ve been following Chloé Zhao’s career after seeing The Rider for my first time. Soon enough, it was her next film, the Oscar-winning Nomadland that gave me confidence we could see something different coming forth for these movies. Unfortunately, that confidence was very short-lived after having seen the first trailer.
